Joe received his BFA in Art and Design from the U. of Texas prior to moving to Brooklyn, NY to study Industrial Design at Pratt Institute.
Between U. of T. and Pratt, Joe taught deaf students art at the Texas School for the Deaf, one of his most intrinsically rewarding jobs.
Mr. LeGrand held several positions as a product designer creating designs that have been patented. Joe became head of Industrial Design at Bayer, Pittsburg where he advanced to marketing then to sales through Shell Chemicals.
Now retired, Joe lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with his spouse, Bob Jenkins. Once retired, his creative work gained recognizable exposure in multiple media including oil and acrylic paintings, and he received national exposure with his wood turned product designs which were featured on front covers of national magazines.
With the advent of iPhone Photography, Joe quickly adapted his skill sets leading him into photo manipulation through collage. He’s currently developing his technique in astrophotography. His favorite apps include, Snapseed, Enlight, Retouch, Union, Repix, MetaBrush, Procreate and iColorama.
